This game is horrible. I got it for $8 just to try because I've worked for Blackwater. What a disgrace! Controls make it unplayable. Using the controller is bad, but trying to use Kinect with this game is horrible! Please don't waste your money and time on this game!

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

Okay, this game is beast. You are a Blackwater Agent who is assigned to this city called Harri. There are 4 people in your squad, Smash and Baird are the only ones I can remember at this time. You can play using the Kinect Sensor or the XBox 360 controller, so you don't need the Kinect to play it. It is possibly one of the best games ever. In Kinect mode, you just aim at the people with your hand, and crouch, and sidestep, that is the best mode to play in. The controller mode isn't as fun, it is boring, actually. Blackwater is a very important organization when it comes to training for the police and the US Armed Forces, but as a game? I think not. Also, that fact you recommend BRINK makes your rating somewhat invalid. I have played a little of this game and found it about as enjoyable as a guided tour of the museum of the history of literature. In the first few levels, at least, the hand'holding that is scripted in is almost unbearable. This could be overlooked if the combat was interesting or challenging, but it isn't. Maybe if they scaled up the realism of the combat or had a little better AI in the enemies, then it would be a somewhat enjoyable game.

This game is perfect for: kid gamers

I only played training, so take it or leave. It was enough for me to know the game is not worth the time of day. You do NOT even pull a trigger. You wave your hand over the target, it waits a second, then fires automatically. That is kinda stupid... Like I said, it was a good thought, maybe worth a shot when Kinect 2 comes out, but this is just a waste of time.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

After seening the trailer for blackwater I had decently high hopes for it but it unfortuantely fell a little short of my expectations. The gameplay reminds me of the old time crisis or house of the dead arcade games. While the concept for the game is a great idea it lacks in the way it tracks your movements. Moving around, jumping, crouching, etc tracks great, aiming your weapon; one of the biggest parts of the game, is not so great. You put your arm out like holding a rifle to bring up your sights but it seems like your aiming very low almost like trying to shoot from the hip. You try to get a bead on your target but your target sights tend to jump back and forth making it hard to hit the enemy. The other drawback on this is that it automatically fires for you. While this is the best way to do it for kinects; once you do get the enemy in your sights there's a slight delay before you fire. So while your waiting to fire the other enemies are shooting the heck out of you. With this way of targeting and shooting you can only fire on one emeny at a time instead of being able to spray some bullets across multiple enemies standing right next to each other. In sniper mode aiming is a little better but the automatic firing isn't good. Instead of waiting until you have a nice headshot to fire you start firing bullets even when the enemy isn't in your crosshairs. You do have the option to switch to using the controller which makes aiming alot easier and you can fire when ready, but this takes away from the overall gameplay. Imagine playing house of the dead with a regular controller, not overly fun, If I'm going to play a FPS with a controller I want to play Halo or something like that that gives you free roam. So while the idea for the game is great it falls short in the way it tracks you for aiming you weapons. I think this game would have been alot better if it were made for the PS3 Move where you can have a gun in your hand making aiming feel a little more natural and have a button you push so you fire when your ready to. I'll hold on to this game and probably play it every now and again. For the rest of you thinking about getting it I'd wait until gamestop has it used for maybe $15 because that's about all I feel it's worth.

This game is Great and the Kinect needed a great shooter like this. The sensor picks up every move and the movements you have to make are realistic. I just got back from my tour in Iraq and Blackwater saved alot of lives.
