The game, I felt, had nothing impressive about it. The combat system I feel, is much, much, worse than in the first Fable. Spells in this game are extreme lacking and, frankly, aren't that much fun to use. The storyline, does have some potential, but was executed poorly. The game also had alot of things in it that would better fit in a game made for kids under the age of thirteen, not a M rated audience. I've tried, several times to get back in the game and finish it, but it's like trying to swim through a pool of molasses, you just don't seem to get anywhere.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

i purchased fable 2 which i fortunatley was not as good as fable 3 i don't klnow why but it isn't but in fable 3 it's quite the effort for more of the story to still be creative. your father dies but the player doesn't start as the king but grouping with allies and starting the revolution is the most interesting part but it is really fun game.

Honestly the game isn't that bad. People call this the dead end of Fable its not. Its a good game and all but it has its flaws.

I got this game when it came out but just now got around to writing a review for it. If you played fable 1 or the lost chapters and expect the same greatness don't pick up this game it's not near as good as either the fighting system has been ruined and a extreamly short story line to boot if it was standing alone it might have been a good game but to be a game to follow one the best Xbox original games there was its just a disappointment. I was hoping Lionhead would have learned from their failure from fable 2 that fable 1's play style and story style was much better and fun to play but i guess not if there is a fable 4 I will not get it I sold fable 2 and 3, but i will never let my Fable or Fable the lost chapters go

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

Okay, my experiance with Fable III is that of a fan being generally dissapointed. In all the fable games, you really felt a sort of connection to the charecter and the world of albion, like you were in control. Not in this game. Reason 1: no expression wheel. they took it out! Now, instead of choosing from thumbs up, laugh, etc, you get three randomized choices. I ended up waltzing with other dudes for a better price on a sword more than i liked... Reason two: Weapon evolution. While this was cool and made relatively interesting weapons, it eventually took out the variety. evolving one melee weapon evolves the rest, and same with the ranged, etc. They shouldve made it to where all the weapons evolved as you used them, not all at once. And even weapons you haven't bought still evolve simultaneosly, taking out a lot of the variety. It was cool, but the way they implemented it into the game SUCKED. Reason three: the magic. There were SO FEW SPELLS that magic fusing was not worth it. not to mention that only the fire and lightning spells dealt decent damage with speed. Also, THERE IS NO GOOD PATH. If you make everyone happy, THEY ALL DIE. I'm not going to spoil it, but if you become a hero there is nobody around to like you. However, being evil saves everybodys lives and they end up hating you anyway. Also, the quest variety and witty humor was slightly less evident, along with the fact that levelling all the way up is too easy. It still is a fun game, but Lion heads "improvements" almost ruined it. I also prefered the "I'm an Adventurer" approach compared with the "i am king" approach. Oh, and the fact that your guy talks on his own with no control by you is annoying and makes you feel even less connected to this world. So... Don't buy it unless you simply must play a new fable game.

This game is perfect for: kid gamers

This game had so much potential, but failed in nearly every instance. The product details above list, Emotion, Powerful combat, Choices and consequences, and Evolution of your character and weapons in extreme ways. I can promise you will find none of these things in Fable 3. Their new touch system is a very basic hand holding system, where you drag npcs through the streets. The interactions range from farting in a guards face, to playing patty cake with your wife in order to gain her affection. The beggining of the game forces you to make decisions based on characters you have no emotional bonding towards. Do you save the girl you just met and have no background with? Or the civilians you have never seen and have no emotion towards. The combat is incredibly basic. There is not an infinite amount of possiblities. You can shoot, slash a sword over and over, or cast a magic spell. Nothing more. The evolution of the weapons is more irritating than intelligent. As you kill skeletons your weapon will morph into a bone weapon, whether you want it to or not. As you use magic you will have your character forcibly imprinted with glowing tattoos, whether you want them to or not. The decisions in this game have no consequences. EVERY replay is the exact same thing. You have no power as a king, and your choices will not affect any outcomes. In all, this is just a pretty game, with no gameplay mechanics whatsoever. A huge dissapointment compared to Fable 2 and Fable.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

I bought this game thinking it would be a good buy; fun to play. It's predictable and repeatable. You're a prince/princess trying to overthrow your evil sibling. Typical medieval setting, right? You can make different spell combinations and use one melee weapon and one firearm. Other than that there's really no way of fighting. The story was completely predictable, and honestly - quite boring. You went around making sure to get hope's up that you would help them, only to in the end once you became ruler to decide to either destroy those hopes and save the land or help them and destroy the land if you didn't know how to make the money necessary. Everything was predictable, boring. Definitely not worth the money, or worth my time playing it.

Try to play the game again but this time use your imagination. I have the first game of the series and it's not boring to me, even if i finished the game twice,which i did. Even when you dont think you have anything to do, you can still go around razing towns or killing random enemies. So please, if you havent already returned the game, have a good go at it and see what you can do to MAKE it fun.
