This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

i really loved kof 13 when i borrowed my friend's kof 12 i was disappointed but by looking at the trailers and etc its really good game. its worth the price for 40. the people who i would love to see in future kof games tho are rock howard and hotaru futabu from garou now come it would be nice to see rock and hotaru in a game since their last apperances date back to neo geo battle collisuem and capcom vs snk 2 for rock. i would love them as dlc and glady pay the money for them or make a sqeual to garou seriously but i well tell any kof fan or fighting game fan to buy this espically the letdown of umvc3 which i beileved should had been better than it was. i also love iori and kyo's new looks.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

i felt the pace and gamesplay were better on KOF 12. however this game (KOF 13) has much more going on with it. a larger roster more modes and bosses and unlockables. KOF 12 has none of these! the only bad part of this game is that the only way to play a one vs one match is in practice mode. i would have really liked to be able to play the game with one charector like in street fighter or mortal kombat. the other thing that i hated was that the game has to load after every round! its not like in marvel vs capcom 3 where when one charector is k.o.'d the next one jumps in. nope in this game the game has to load before th next character enters the fight. so one match of 3 vs 3 seems like 3 single matches. this is the single biggest problem i had with this game. other that that this is a great game! hardcore fight game fans will love this one! i know i do!

Game Spot has nominated KOF XIII THE GAME OF THE YEAR!! At first, I was not going to buy this game due to the fact that this game has left out SOOO MANY fighters from King of Fighters XI and previous games. However, after seeing the graphics and animation take place+ the many game modes, and etc. I BOUGHT THE GAME LOL! THE GAME is engaging and fun. I traded in so many games and etc. to get this game at a reduced price and it was worth it! :) Thanks Grandma and Mom!

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

It has story like every fighting game we should expect, no voice acting. But that isn't a huge issue.

Give that retro feeling of old school gaming, brings back good memories if you're a hardcore fan of the franchise. (Me, never played them then).

Gameplay is pretty solid, but I just can't bring myself to keep playing it like Mortal Kombat and many other fighting titles.

I reccomend this game to those who are really diehard fans of the franchise. If you're just a casual gamer or have no idea about the franchise, I wouldn't recommend it.

Still a good fighting game, but I wish I had my money back, it just...doesn't appeal to me....

The last game was $60 when it came out and was not worth the price.This game lives up to the hype that the King Of Fighters XII trailer failed to do. It is one of best looking hand drawn 2d fighting games. Unlike the last game, it has a story, a decent fighter roster, boss characters, and a decent number of modes to play. I hear there is no spectator mode for online play, but I don't really have a problem with that. I think this game would have been worth $60 this time! This game might not be for everyone, but if you like any of the older games, you will probably like this one too.

looks super good ! Maybe im oldschool but i prefer the 2d fighters over the 3d fighters.Okay tekken, soulcaliber and others are great as well but still.This is how fighting games should be. I really want this game right now !

So ready after the last letdown

I've been a KoF fan since 98 on the Dreamcast and I remember being so excited when I heard 12 was coming. I also remember being so disappointed after playing through it 5 or 6 times and thinking "I just spent $60 on a beta." KoFXII should have put me off the series for awhile, but I can't stay mad after seeing KoFXIII in action. I have my copy paid off and I'm very confident that this year won't be a letdown after many of the things I've read by the game makers. It really sounds like they realize how bad the last game was and are doing their best not to repeat those mistakes. Anyone know if Billy will be playable right out the box or will he be DLC?
